Posterous is a San Francisco based blogging platform that had started working in May 2008. One can send email with attachments of photos, MP3s, documents and videos after signing in to this site. However, it is particularly designed for mobile blogging.

Twitter has also intimated that it will give its user ‘ample notice’ if it is going to make any changes to the prevalent services.
